PALAU DE LA MÚSICA CATALANA

The Palau de la Música Catalana is the only modern concert hall declared World Patrimony by the UNESCO. Nowadays it is the must-meeting point of Barcelona’s cultural and social life and also it is a symbolical and sentimental patrimony of a whole town that identifies with its history.

The Palau de la Musica Catalana was built between 1905 and 1908 as the headquarters of Orfeó Català, the building is constructed around a central metallic structure covered in glass, that when receiving natural light transforms the building, the most significant piece of art of Domènech I Montaner in a magical musical box where all the types of art applied combine: Sculpture, mosaic, stained glass and forging.
